This is my 1965 427 Cobra street car. It is estimated that about 50 unmolested street cars still exist today.

When people think of the 427 Cobra they picture side pipes, hood scoop, roll bar, oil cooler bulge, all of the competition and semi-competition add-ons. These goodies were NOT included on a basic 427 street car, although some people argue that they could be ordered as options. The normal 427 street car looked like a 289 car on steroids, basically just a wider hipped version. It is painted the original AC color "Live Oak", and kind of silver-green metallic. The car is truly stunning, and with over 605 horsepower and 600 pounds of torque an absolute terror to drive. For some reason this engine just turned out to be a serious powerhouse.
